As we come together to celebrate Independence Day, we cherish the opportunity to spend time with friends and family, enjoying barbecues and fireworks, and reflecting on the blessings of living in a free and prosperous nation. This day is a time-honored tradition where our community gathers to celebrate our shared values and freedoms.

Amidst our festivities, it's essential to express profound gratitude to the men and women currently serving in our armed forces, especially those stationed at Luke Air Force Base. Their dedication and sacrifice ensure that we can enjoy moments of joy and celebration, knowing our freedoms are safeguarded. Luke Air Force Base not only defends our nation but also enriches our community through cultural diversity, economic support, and local engagement. Our active military personnel contribute significantly to the fabric of Surprise, AZ, making it a stronger and more vibrant place to live.

On this Independence Day, let us also pay tribute to our veterans, whose bravery and selflessness have shaped our nation's history and secured our future. Their enduring sacrifices, both in times of conflict and peace, inspire us to uphold the principles of liberty and justice for all.

As we celebrate our day of independence, let us remember with gratitude all who have served and continue to serve our great nation. Happy 4th of July to all, and may the spirit of liberty and freedom continue to guide us forward.
